Ways to Reduce

You made it to our favourite page – awesome! By now we assume that you’ve already signed up to our newsletter, or follow us on Facebook or Instagram. That’s important so that we can support you on your journey with inspiring content.

Here are 3 options to get you reducing right now:

DIY

Next time you’re standing in a supermarket or sitting in a restaurant, consider going for the plant-based option, or animal products that come from ethical farms (careful with labels – many of them are misleading).
Ask where the products are coming from.
Just like that – easy as ABC.

Join a challenge

Who doesn’t like a crowded line-up?
Jokes aside – joining a challenge or campaign (Meat-free Mondays, Veganuary etc.)  is a great way to keep you motivated. Underneath are our favourite campaigns – join one of them, and you’ll get plenty of
awesome advice!

Donate

We get it – it can be really hard to reduce.

If it’s just not possible for you right now, consider donating to organizations that are doing good (animal welfare, ocean conservation etc.). We estimate that ‘ethical’ animal products are either for free (if you catch it yourself), or 5-10 times more expensive than the industrial stuff. So if you by an egg for 1 buck, you could donate 5-10!

Challenge 22

What’s the deal: The challenge is to eat plant-based for 22 days – unlike other challenges though, this is interactive including group support and personal mentoring by registered dietitians!

What’s the point: You’ll never walk alone – experience the power of community (and nutritional advice by experts)

Worst case scenario: You won’t make it – and if you’re a bad person, you might get banned from the Facebook-group they’re using for exchange!

Best case scenario: You meet your future wife/husband on the facebook group and live happily ever after!

Veganuary

What’s the deal: You go meat, dairy, eggless for one month at the start of the year. Think of it as a super-duper detox and resolution kick-start for the new year.

What’s the point: To go with less and give the planet a break.

Worst case scenario: You reduce your reliance on industrial farmed products for 31 days which lightens your carbon footprint significantly and you’ll prob drop a belt size or two.

Best case scenario: You develop a new found love for cashew cheese and decide you can live without dairy for the rest of the year too. More vegan meals sneak into your lifestyle. You kinda dig it.
